Nominees for the 2010 Nebula Awards were announced recently by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (winners to be announced May 21). Among the nominees are: The Alchemist, Paolo Bacigalupi (Subterranean) and The Lifecycle of Software Objects, Ted Chiang (Subterranean) for best Novella; Ship Breaker, Paolo Bacigalupi (Little, Brown), Mockingjay, Suzanne Collins (Scholastic Press; Scholastic UK), Behemoth, Scott Westerfeld (Simon Pulse; Simon & Schuster UK), and A Conspiracy of Kings, Megan Whalen Turner (Greenwillow) for best YA Sci-Fi.
