Stephen King Collectible Editions Abound

I just got an email from Subterranean Press announcing at least four new Stephen King collectible editions coming out this year, including:

The Shining (Subterranean Press; Gift edition of 1,500 unsigned copies. Limited and Lettered editions already sold out)
Doctor Sleep (Cemetary Dance; Gift edition of 1,750 unsigned copies in slip case; Limited and Lettered editions already sold out)
Christine (PS Publishing; Anniversary edition of 300-400 unsigned copies. Limited and Lettered editions already sold out).
Pet Sematary (PS Publishing; Anniversary edition of 300-400 unsigned copies. Limited and Lettered editions already sold out).

The announcement from Sub Press:

This year will be a bonanza for Stephen King's many fans, with no fewer than four collectible editions of his work being published.

They include:
  • The Shining, which we'll be doing our darndedst to make one of the best King editions yet. The Limited and Lettered are both sold out, but you can still preorder the Gift  Edition for a limited time.
  • Doctor Sleep, the seqel to The Shining, which is coming from Cemetery Dance. We've locked in a limited number of copies of the Gift edition of this one for our customers, but don't expect copies to last long.
In addition, our friends at PS Publishing will be releasing two Anniversary King Editions with facsimile signatures, and print runs projected to be as low as 300-400 copies.
  • Christine-Featuring, among a good deal of original art, a brand new introduction by Ramsey Campbell.
  • Pet Sematary-This time around, Michael Marshall Smith is helming the intro. It, too, will include original art.


The Doctor Sleep edition was announced on Tuesday (February 5th) and almost immediately sold out of both the Limited and Lettered editions, according to StephenKingCollector.com.

Lettered: 52 signed, specially bound copies, housed in a custom traycase, with an original remarque by Gabriel Rodriguez -sold out-
Limited: 750 signed numbered copies, housed in a custom traycase -sold out-
Gift: 1500 unsigned cloth bound copies, housed in a custom slipcase ($95)

 Dr. Sleep - 500 pages - Illustrated by Vincent Chong & Erin Wells:
• Slipcased Gift Edition - 1,750 copies printed in two colors with two-color hot foil stamping, a fine binding, and embossed endpapers ($95)
• Traycased Signed Limited Edition - 750 copies printed in two colors and bound in leather with a satin ribbon page marker and different embossed endpapers, signed by Stephen King and all of the artists ($450) -sold out-
• Lettered Edition - 52 illustrated printed in two colors and bound in two different fine materials with gilded page edges, imported endpapers, a satin ribbon page marker, and protected in a custom deluxe box, signed by Stephen King and all of the artists ($2,500) -sold out-
